Now that the test is submitted, there’s nothing left to talk about but food and memory. “I don’t have any memories; that’s the library’s job.” We talked about the present but she didn’t include me. We talked about the future and we’re both there.

I realized today that it was nice to have family and neighbors around back in Louisiana 10, 15 years ago.
Living in Allen, TX as soon as I moved to Dallas(1997) was quite the shock. I never met one of my neighbors. not one. I guess it was the suburbs in the worst kind of way.
