We drove around the entire island today. We made stops along the way and had a great time. The best was had at Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park, a place we’ve been planning to visit for years. We walked around the crater. We hiked on lava and saw the flow enter the ocean. We also drove through pouring rain to get back to the hotel. That last part wasn’t so fun.

Rested up LOTS and felt good, and excited about going to visit a friend in DC. Travelled there (no problems, did work on train) and then had a fun but low key night – some tasty food, a few beers in Arlington and then off to bed. Lots of chatting and missed my boyfriend when going to bed.
